2026 Founder’s Letter

A Message from the Founder & Executive Director

Dear Community,

I started the Precision Business Education Foundation because there is simply too much talk — and not enough action.

I’ve seen passionate people with strong ideas struggle, not because they lack work ethic, but because they lack real guidance, real access, and real support from someone who has built and operated businesses hands-on.

There is a difference between giving someone a plan and walking away — and working beside them to execute it.

We do not hand you a binder and wish you luck.
We execute it with you.

This foundation was built on practical experience — understanding where the deficits are, where entrepreneurs get stuck, and what actually moves a business forward.

Hands-on mentoring. Real implementation. Accountability. Results.

LET’S GET TO WORK.

With respect and commitment to this community,

Real-World Business Experience

The Precision Method™ was developed from more than 40 years of real-world business ownership and hands-on operational experience.

Founder Michael Matassa has worked at every level of business—from designing and constructing facilities to managing daily operations, solving technical problems, and supporting other business owners as they navigate the challenges of running a company.

Over the years, he has built and operated businesses in restaurants, construction, technology, consulting, and e-commerce.

His experience includes designing, building, and operating restaurants from the ground up, often serving as the general contractor while managing subcontractors and overseeing construction, equipment installation, and facility systems. In addition to ownership and management, he performed hands-on technical work including commercial kitchen equipment repair, plumbing, electrical work, and operational troubleshooting.

Beyond hospitality and construction, he also worked in technology during the early development of network encryption systems in the 1990s, installing POS infrastructure, data boards, and network cabling including Cat5 termination to support business systems.

He later developed and operated an e-commerce platform built on WordPress and WooCommerce that shipped fresh seafood products nationwide. This required designing packaging and logistics systems for shipping perishable products across the country while testing delivery conditions in different environments.

Throughout his career, he has also worked alongside other business owners, helping them understand operational challenges, cost structures, and the practical mechanics involved in running a business.

Working across many different industries revealed an important pattern: while the products, services, and crafts may differ, the structure of business is remarkably similar.

Whether someone is opening a restaurant, starting a landscaping company, running a dental practice, or launching an online store, the same operational foundations determine whether a business survives and grows.

A chef, landscaper, contractor, dentist, or artist may each have their own specialized skills, but every business must still operate within the same fundamental framework.

Universal Business Fundamentals:

  • managing operations

  • understanding costs and pricing

  • organizing workflows and systems

  • serving customers consistently

  • maintaining sustainable business practices

Many entrepreneurs are highly skilled in their craft, but they were never shown how businesses actually function.

The Precision Method™ was created to help entrepreneurs understand those universal business fundamentals so they can apply their own expertise with greater clarity and confidence.

The goal is not to replace an owner’s professional advisors, but to provide practical business education grounded in real-world experience.

The Precision Business Education Foundation exists to make that practical knowledge more accessible to entrepreneurs who were never formally taught how businesses actually work.
